Document Control
AEC-Sync provides a hosted, secure storage solution for all project documents. Our storage is a radically less expensive alternative to in-house storage and is professionally managed for greater security.

Collaborative documents have their own life cycle. They are initiated by the design and construction team, and grow as information is added, comments are made, revisions are made and references are built. Documents are socialized throughout the project. Hosting data centrally is intuitive: there are many people that need to have access to this information in a timely manner, with the right security, without picking up the phone.
The Problem with Emailing Documents
Emailing documents leaves your firm open to security risk as you have no way to control emails once they have been sent. You have no idea if it was received, blocked due to excessive size, caught in spam filters or if it sits in the recipient's inbox for days.
Email also causes duplication that leads to error. An email can become outdated as soon as it's sent and now you have people designing structures off old information. And worst of all, you have no idea they are using old plans and specifications until it's too late.
AEC-Sync will Reduce your Dependency on Email
At AEC-Sync we know documents are dynamic. Our collaboration tools manage your data; our referencing makes them relevant and accessible, and our hosted model alleviates your IT headaches.
Take an Air Handling Unit Submittal for example: If you emailed that document to five team members you have now duplicated that information five times. One person may file it, one may misfile it, one message may get caught in spam, one message may exceeded a file size limit and one recipient may read it days later.
With AEC-Sync the document is not duplicated because it lives in a central repository. Each user retrieves the file, which assures they are working with current plans and specs. And if changes are made to that document in the meantime, they can quickly see the progression of how that change was made.
Less Email = More Efficiency
